Fourth year project:

The concept connects the four elements, the county of cork has an historical and environmental impact on each of the four elements:

• Air.

• Water.

• Earth.

• Fire.

These all combine to create a concept of elemental. The original MTU structure is cold, rigged and monotonous, we plan on contrasting this old design with a fun lively design that embrace new life. A breathable fluid design will organically move through the four floors of the architectural structure while creating unique spaces to aid in an individuals physical and mental health. A well circulated inviting space with contrast each element to provide an impressive response to the environment surrounding cork.

 

The concept aims to intertwine the four elements, drawing inspiration from the historical and environmental significance of Cork County in relation to air, water, earth, and fire. This concept seeks to transform the previously cold, rigid, and monotonous MTU structure into a vibrant and lively design that breathes new life into the space. This fluid design will organically flow through four floors, creating distinctive areas designed to enhance physical and mental well-being. By offering a well-ventilated, welcoming environment, this design will contrast each element and provide an impressive response to the unique surroundings of Cork County.
